The International PlateauPlus Association (PlateauPlus) is dedicated to promoting a fundamental understanding of the major plateaus worldwide, such as the Colorado Plateau in North America, the Altiplano Plateau and the East African Plateau in Africa, the Alpine Plateau in Europe, the Iranian Plateau and the Tibetan Plateau in Asia. It aims to explore the interconnections between these plateaus from a global view to provide comprehensive recognition of their tectonic evolution, environmental effects, biodiversity changes, and human adaptation. The PlateauPlus is proposed by the TPESER and calls for international partners to join.
