On October 10, the Key Laboratory of Tibetan Plateau Earth System, Environment and Resources (hereinafter referred to as "TPESER") held the fifth Masters' Frontier Lecture. Prof. Mark Harrison, Member of the United States National Academy of Sciences, was invited to give an academic report entitled "How to Build a Habitable World". Over 80 researchers and graduate students from our institute, including Academician Ding Lin, Deputy Director of Academic Affairs and Director of TPESER, attended the report meeting on the spot. The meeting also attracted nearly 1,500 online participants through the live streaming platform.

On September 8, 2023, the Key Laboratory of Tibetan Plateau Earth System, Environment and Resources (hereinafter referred to as "TPESER") held the first academic symposium on major projects for youth innovation and open research projects. On February 17, 2023, the Key Laboratory of Tibetan Plateau Earth System, Environment and Resources (hereinafter referred to as "TPESER") held the third Masters' Frontier Lecture, at which, Academician Liu Congqiang, as the first guest speaker in 2023, delivered an academic report entitled "Interaction between Earth's Spheres in Tibetan Plateau and Global Change - Research on Processes of Earth's Critical Zone". Over 60 researchers and students from TPESER, including Academician Ding Lin, Director of TPESER, and Prof. Zhuang Xuliang, Secretary of the Party Committee, attended the lecture on the spot. Moreover, about 3,000 related researchers and the public attended the meeting online.

On January 16, 2023, the first academic annual meeting of the Institute of Tibetan Plateau Research (ITP), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), and State Key Laboratory of Tibetan Plateau Earth System, Environment and Resources (TPESER) was held in the form of "in-person + live streaming".
