The Data Platform is built upon and operates in conjunction with the National Tibetan Plateau Data Center. It is one of the first national scientific data centers and a discipline-specific center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. It is also the first in China to be certified by Springer Nature. With branches in Tibet and Qinghai, it is the only data center in China dedicated to offering the most extensive and authoritative scientific data concerning the Tibetan Plateau and its adjacent regions. The center manages a substantial collection of scientific data resources from the Tibetan Plateau, with over 56,000 registered users and more than 5,400 datasets published. It has developed standard specifications, quality control systems, and resource integration models tailored to the features of the research on the Tibetan Plateau. The center is equipped with the necessary information infrastructure and a dedicated operational team to manage and simulate the scientific data of the Tibetan Plateau. The data center is at the forefront, handling data exchange and management for major projects like the Second Tibetan Plateau Scientific Expedition and Research, a national project, and the Pan-Third Pole Environment Study for A Green Silk Road, a strategic priority research program (Category A) of Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Goals:
