The Nam Co Station for Multisphere Observation and Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences (hereinafter referred to as the Nam Co Station, 30°46.44'N, 90°59.31'E, and 4,730 m a.s.l) is located on the southeast bank of Nam Co Lake in Nam Co Township, Dangxiong County, Tibet Autonomous Region.

Qomolangma Station for Atmospheric and Environmental Observation and Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences (28.21°N, 86.56°E, and 4,276 m a.s.l) is located in Zhaxizong Township, Dingri County, about 30 km away from the Base Camp at Mount Qomolangma, about 80 km to Dingri County and about 650 km to Lhasa.

The Naqu Station for Alpine Grassland Ecosystem Observation and Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences (hereinafter referred to as the Naqu Station) is located in Naqu City, Tibet Autonomous Region, on the upper reaches of Nujiang River, the hinterland of Tibet Plateau (the core zone of northern Tibet Plateau).

South-East Tibetan plateau Station for integrated observation and research of alpine environment (hereinafter referred to as SETS, 94°44'E, 29°46'N, and 3,326 m a.s.l) is located in the mountain valley on the western side of National Highway 318, about 6 km north of Lulang Township, Nyingchi County, Tibet Autonomous Region.

Muztagh Ata Station for Westerly Environment Observation and Research (hereinafter referred to as the Muztagh Ata Station) is located in Bulungkol Township, Akto County, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.

Ngari Station for Desert Environment Observation and Research (hereinafter referred to as NASDE) was established in 2008. The station (79.70°E, 33.39°N, 4,270 m a.s.l) is located in the Magaer Grassland on south side of the National Highway 219;

The Motuo Observation and Research Center for Earth Landscape and Earth System, Chinese Academy of Sciences (hereinafter referred to as the Motuo Observation and Research Center) is in southern foot of Eastern Himalayas and at the right bank of the Guoguotang Great Bend of the Yarlung Zangbo River.
