The key scientific question focuses on the environmental changes over the Tibetan Plateau (TP) and their responses, impacts, and adaptations under climate changes. Based on the study of the processes and mechanisms of multi-sphere interactions on Earth’s surface, the research group aims to advance the Earth system research in the regional scope and theoretically support the assessment on regional water resources carrying capacity (WRCC) and risks of water-environment security.
